The Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors has just released the statistics for the Twin Cities for the week ending August 10, 2013.

In the Twin Cities region, for the week ending August 10:

• New Listings increased 19.1% to 1,650
• Pending Sales increased 10.1% to 1,197
• Inventory decreased 11.3% to 15,990

The Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors has just released the statistics for the Twin Cities for the week ending August 3, 2013.

In the Twin Cities region, for the week ending August 3, 2013:

  • New Listings increased 18.0% to 1,689
  • Pending Sales increased 15.0% to 1,252
  • Inventory decreased 11.9% to 15,981

For the month of July 2013:

  • Median Sales Price increased 16.8% to $208,000
  • Days on Market decreased 31.4% to 72
  • Percent of Original List Price Received increased 2.6% to 97.5%
  • Months Supply of Inventory decreased 21.7% to 3.6

Construction Starts

Construction starts in the Twin Cities continue their upward trend!  June of 2013 saw 912 authorized new units a +64.3% change over June 2012 where there were 555. Planned units are still at their highest levels since 2007! Year to date, the Twin Cities have issued 2,379 permits for a total of 4,204 units. The growth has continued despite bad weather conditions for builders with the extended cold winter and all the rain this summer. Once again Minneapolis led the way with permits for 380 units, Brooklyn Park and Woodbury were second with 31 units, Ramsey had 29, Blaine, Chanhassen, and Lakeville tied for fifth place with 23. This information is provided by the Builders Association of the Twin Cities.
